ActiveX Error Problems Try A Registry Cleaner
ActiveX is a system developed for use with Windows that uses the COM runtime. Using ActiveX, software developers can create software that perform specific functions or sets of functions. Lots of Windows-based software, such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, Media Player, and others use ActiveX controls to run their features. ActiveX controls often allow the functions of these software programs to be embedded in other applications. (Source: Wikipedia)
Basically, ActiveX is a programing language that allows programs to run functions within other programs. ActiveX can most readily be seen in action in web applications in Internet Explorer.
ActiveX errors are a common complaint of Windows users. If you're suffering from ActiveX errors and aren't sure what's wrong, then we suggest running a registry cleaner to help narrow down the cause. Many times a registry cleaner will be able to fix the problem.
We recommend using RegCure, a registry cleaner software program published by ParetoLogic software.

Common ActiveX Errors Fix ActiveX Error Problems
Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.
This error is caused by third party software that disables Windows from allowing ActiveX controls to be run. In order to fix this problem, you should open the registry editor (Run/regedit) and locate the following file:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\Zones\0
Find the entry "1200" and double click. A new window will open. There you should change the value to 0.
Then, head to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\Zones\0. Find 1200 and again change the value to 0.
The 1200 key is used to enable or disable Run ActiveX controls. Setting it to 0 will allow your computer to run them without errors.
Note: make sure to take the necessary precautions to backup your registry before performing any changes.
The Windows Registry Fix ActiveX Error Problems
The Windows registry is a complex filing system that uses a set of six HKEY folders to store necessary and important information regarding the preferences, settings, and file associations of the software and hardware that's on your computer.
The registry stores COM/ActiveX information, and if the registry gets cluttered with invalid, obsolete, or corrupted entries then the result can often lead to ActiveX errors.
A registry cleaner can help the situation by scanning your registry and locating all the obsolete and invalid files and folders that have been left behind, either by viruses, spyware, or the incomplete uninstallation of software and hardware.
Please note: a registry cleaner is not a cure all, and won't fix every single computer problem. However, if you're running into registry problems it might be worth a shot.
